July 2008

Dear Friends and Family,

We were thrilled to be able to have our family all together this past month. We were able to get some formal pictures with our Canadians before they left. We especially like this one. Any guesses why?

Charlie and I will be celebrating our 35th anniversary on the 14th. We are planning a trip to Philadelphia to celebrate. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers while we travel.

We were able to ship our over 31,000 pounds of winter clothing to Peru with Operation Blessing. Peru has had flooding from February through May and their adobe homes collapsed because of excessive rainfall. We were excited to be able to help with this request.

We were thrilled to be able to donate our ETS bicycles to missionaries going back to Mexico. We have had our friend and neighbor Mike Fitzgerald donate his time and talent to repair them. The missionary will distribute them to the local pastors and allow the pastors to decide who should receive them.

We appreciate our volunteers so much. Approximately 109 million American adults-56 percent of all adults-volunteer annually, contributing an average of 3.5 hours per week for a total of 20 billion hours. Without our volunteers we would be unable to do the majority of our work.

Thank you for your prayers and support. We appreciate both so much.

Blessings,

Charlie and Kathy
