Charlie and I are back from Savannah after a whirlwind trip. We were able to speak with several small groups, a Sunday School class, two churches, a men’s group, a ladies Bible Study and a missions luncheon. We were thrilled to catch up with friends and enjoyed every minute of our time back in Georgia.
We appreciated your prayers for my mom. We took her to Duke University April 16th for tests and to see a specialist in macular degeneration. We were excited to hear that she can get some glasses that will help her read more clearly and that she will not go blind. There is an experimental drug study going on for the dry kind of macular degeneration that she may want to participate in. They offered her some very good suggestions on how to live with the limitations she has and were very encouraging.
We were able to send out a container of summer clothing and shoes for Billy and Betty Loft. We had an area youth group help load the 933 boxes in the container for Nicaragua. Charlie is still planning on going down possibly in July to help set up a copy shop that will help support the area pastors.
Thank you for investing your prayers, support and interest in us. We are so blessed to have you as a partner in ministry. Please know that we also pray for each of you.
