Late July 2006
Dear Friends and Family,
Charlie and I are finally going to be grandparents! Our daughter Becky is expecting her first child in January O7. We are naturally excited and thrilled for them. We did laugh at our excitement to be in Canada in January. They do not know what they are having yet ( the surprise will be revealed in another month). The siblings are all excited about this new addition to our family also.
We were thrilled to have Savannah Christian Church send a work crew of 11 people for a week. What a blessing and a thrill to see so many projects completed! We were able to send out a clothing container as well as do some much needed inventories.
They never complained, despite the soaring heat and heavy loads . We laughed a lot, worked really hard and are really missing their energy, enthusiasm, and servant’s heart. Enclosed is the ETS Newsletter which features a letter about their trip.
Monday we begin loading a container for the Sudan. This container will have items for a hospital. We are hoping for a good turnout of volunteers to make the work go quickly.
The following week we have a container scheduled for Tajikistan. This will have personal items for the missionaries as well as all the computers, monitors and keyboards as we can squeeze on .
Please pray for volunteers to help and for their safety while loading. We appreciate your prayers and financial support so very much. We would love to have you come visit us at “The Nest.”
Blessings,
Charlie and Kathy
