March 2006
February was a wonderfully wild month for us. We took on a project so big that If God wasn’t in it, there would be no way for us to succeed. We were given an extension on the 2005 clothing allotment for Women of the World Ministries. We needed to come up with 1000 boxes of clothing to fill a sea container in the 28 days of February to be shipped to Tajikistan.
There were major hurdles to get past. We needed 600 boxes of clothing to complete the container and we had never done over 500 in any given month. The clothing has to be hand sorted before being boxed which means that we needed volunteer workers to help before the groups could actually start the task. God was good and provided the clothing and volunteers . We ended up with 281 volunteers that put in 624 hours.
We are going through some major growing pains and need your prayers for the coming months. The tasks are great but our God is greater. Please pray with us over these issues:
· More staff is needed on a full time basis….the work never ceases , we just quit for the night.
· Building reorganization and inventory
· Continuous recruitment of volunteers, especially for those who will commit on a weekly basis. We also need highly skilled volunteers for work in electronics.
· Strategic planning for future projects and containers
· Organizing the warehouse and future building our own warehouse
· Financial needs of staff and ministry
We are thinking seriously about making a trip to Savannah April 16th through 22nd. We would like to meet with the small groups that pray for us and have been supporting us for the last 2 and half years. If your small group would be interested please let us know or contact the SCC Missions office who will be booking our agenda. Thank you for your financial support and most of all your prayers as we continue to work here at Equipping the Saints. Blessings,
Charlie and Kathy Bennetch
