News from the Nest

September, 2007

Dear Friends and Family, Just a quick note to let you know we will be away from the Nest for the next 10 days. We are leaving for Canada to see one particular blue-eyed girl and her parents.

We will be gone Sept.4 through 14th, and will certainly come back with a lot of pictures and memories.

Charlie is taking a much needed break from ETS and will don on his “Mr. Fix-it” hat as well as be a doting Poppa . Becky already has a list of things to be repaired around their home.

I personally am looking forward to spoiling my girls and logging in lots of Emma time. Emma has grown so much in the last few months and is quickly getting more and more independent . She can sit up by herself and loves to clap, babble and has discovered solid foods.

We have been looking forward to this trip since we earned “free tickets” last December from the airline. We are eager to see Canada in the fall with much cooler temps, changing leaves and of course being with Becky, Jerry and Emma.

Please keep us in your prayers. Pray that it will be a relaxing time for Charlie and that we will come back refreshed, revitalized and renewed. It has been a crazy summer for us with many detours and unexpected surprises. I am still on the mend but progressing weekly with physical therapy. I’m not sure if my knee will ever be the same again but I am thankful for being able to get around even if it takes me longer. Charlie has gotten really good about giving me a head start.

Know how thankful we are to have you on our team. We appreciate your prayers and support so much more than we can express.
