March 2008
Dear Friends and Family,

We are starting to see a few signs of spring. I noticed that my daffodils are starting to pop up and I actually saw some crocus starting to bloom in our yard. Spring is always such a joyous time for us. Spring brings new life…..baby animals start appearing in the nearby farms, the leaves and grass start turning green and I get the yearly urge to plant a garden.

Easter is this month also and we are Easter people. Without Easter we would still be dead in our sins and lost for eternity. Without Easter we would have no hope. The resurrection of Jesus showed the penalty of sin was paid. It displayed God’s power over death, and the new life He offers. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. (I Peter 1:3)

We have had several groups come in to help us this past month and our dance card is beginning to fill as we have requests from new groups. This past weekend we had a “family” group (aunts, uncles, cousins) from Pennsylvania that wanted to share a mission experience together. They packed clothing, filled trucks with monitors and medical supplies and helped organize our basement. We are looking forward to spending a week with the group from Savannah Christian Church on March 12-19.

Our son Andy is going back to college on a part time basis. He started back after a six year break. He is majoring in Business and we are excited and thrilled at his decision. Please keep him in your prayers as he makes this transition.

I am finally on the mend after a few setbacks from my recent surgery. I have to remember that I’m a marathoner …..not a sprinter. Thank you for your prayers and support.

Blessings,

Charlie and Kathy
