Charlie and I will be making our annual trip to Savannah April 18th through the 26th and naturally we would like to see as many of you as we can. We always look forward to going home and reconnecting with our friends. We will be staying with friends Mike and Sandy Wagoner while in Savannah and are hoping to meet with several small groups , the Ladies Bible Study on Thursday, and the Men’s Saturday morning breakfast.

Naturally we will be at SCC main campus on Saturday and Sunday April 24 and 25th. So be on the look out for us. You’ll be able to recognize us as we’ll be the ones smiling and waving. This past month has been very physically active for us with many volunteer groups and lots of lifting and moving heavy items.

Charlie had noticed that he was unusually tired and not recovering quickly.

His older brother has had a history of chronic fatigue that was greatly improved with a gluten free diet. So we have been gluten free for the last month . Charlie’s endurance and physical strength have greatly improved and we are so thankful for the improvement.

He has had problems with gastric reflux and actually went to our doctor. He is eating smaller meals more often, eating slower and going gluten free.

Meanwhile I have been learning a new way to cook and doing a lot of research. We are eating lots of whole foods and try to stay away from processed foods . Needless to say I read lots of labels now.

Charlie and I are back from Savannah after a whirlwind trip. We were able to speak with several small groups, a Sunday School class, two churches, a men’s group, a ladies Bible Study and a missions luncheon. We were thrilled to catch up with friends and enjoyed every minute of our time back in Georgia. We also enjoyed the spring flowers and burst of color everywhere.

This month we will be traveling much more than usual. We leave this week to spend Easter with Suzy, Tim, Andy and of course our grandson Oscar. Oscar has been growing and getting even cuter (if that’s possible). I love to be a part of his firsts…..so we will get to witness his first Easter. Suzy says he is now officially a “Creeper”. We are anxious to see him in person and listen to his laughter. Is there anything better in life than the laughter of a baby?

We would appreciate your prayers for my mom. We will be taking her to Duke University April 15th for tests and to see a specialist in macular degeneration. My two sisters will also be going with us to see if there is anything that she can do to slow down the process or be a part of on- going studies. We want to be able to encourage her and help keep her as independent as possible for as long as possible.

April 27 and 28 will find us at Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina. Charlie and I will be attending a seminar called “How to Raise Good Money in Bad Times”. It is a seminar for missionaries and missions on fund raising. I will be going to the public relations part and Charlie will be attending the capital stewardship part. We look forward to gaining some new insights.

Thank you for investing your prayers, support and interest in us. We are so blessed to have you as a partner in ministry. Please know that we also pray for each of you. Easter is the most joyous time of the year for believers. We pray that you will be blessed by God’s amazing love and grace.
