Dear Friends and Family,

Can you say Ouch? I can! On February 6th ,I was involved in a car crash while crossing a highway. God was good and both of us were able to walk away without injuries even though both cars were totaled in the accident. I saw the car coming and knew we were going to hit. I remember hitting the accelerator and saying, “Oh Jesus, Oh Jesus, Oh Jesus!” I was hit on the driver’s side on the rear door instead of directly on my door and also missed hitting the gas tank. I am now a firm believer in side impact air bags!

Any accident you can walk away from without injury is a good accident. God is good and we were able to get more money for the car than what we anticipated plus we received a large check from a very unexpected source that will greatly increase our options of used cars that are available. We have been blessed to have a friend and ETS board member, who routinely purchases cars at auction for missionaries. We are trusting that he will be able to secure a reliable car for us with the money from the insurance settlement and gift.

I have discovered some really sore muscles and it seems like my emotions were stuck for a few days and I would cry at the least little thing for no reason (poor Charlie). I still can hear the sound of crunching metal in my head but I know we are blessed beyond measure.

Thank you for your continuing prayers for our protection as well as our health. Charlie has a bad cold and has a deep husky voice.( Fortunately I think I think it’s sexy). We are hoping to be able to pick up our “new to us” vehicle in Pennsylvania this week. Thank you for your prayers and support. We appreciate both so very much.
Blessings,

Charlie and Kathy
