March 12,2007

Dear Friends and Family,

Many of you heard that our car was totaled in a wreck in early February. Other than some bruises and being “all shook up” (my apologies to Elvis) neither driver was injured. It has left us with only one vehicle however, and we are grateful for God’s provision for a car for us.

We have had many delays, (ice storm, a mission trip, repairs and illness ) that have kept us from picking up the 2001 Subaru Forrester that was purchased at auction for us. We were able to purchase the vehicle for half the Kelly Blue Book value and have had some money left to be able to make any needed repairs. We are currently still a one car family. We would appreciate your prayers for all the details that have delayed us from picking up the car in Pennsylvania.

We are excited to announce that we finally have permission to send much needed clothing to Guatemala. We have been praying that the Lord would help us cut through the “red tape,” as we have been trying to send this container since December. The recipients were hit by Hurricane Stan over a year and a half ago. We are hoping to fill the container on St. Patrick’s Day (definitely celebrated very low key in this area….no green grits, no green water in the fountain or even Shamrock Shakes at McDonalds!)

As the weather begins to warm up, we are getting more and more volunteers on Saturday. We appreciate our volunteers so much as they help us do the majority of the work. We have had two large groups this month that have helped us organize, sort, and move items all over the building.

Miss Emma continues to grow and we are most anxious to see her and her parents. Thank you for your prayers and support. We appreciate both so much.

Blessings,

Charlie and Kathy
