Christmas 2011
" Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." Proverbs 4:23
Dear Friends,
Charlie and I feel that this is a good verse to sum up "life in the nest" for us this past year. Our hearts have been expanded, stretched, and at times broken but we know that God is faithful and holds us in the palm of His Hand.
We were thrilled to welcome a new baby to our growing family. Baby Charlie, (Charles Elliot Bomgardner) born January 7th, is the second child and second son of our daughter Suzy and husband Tim. Baby Charlie totally stole our hearts at first sight and we've been helplessly in love with him ever since.
Our hearts expanded even more as we were privileged to watch our son Andy propose to Rachel Rice in Central Park December 4th. We look forward to a wedding this coming year. We are so thrilled to add such a vibrant and exceptional young lady to our family. We love seeing Andy so happy.
Our hearts were broken at the passing some of God's saints and personal prayer warriors. We rejoice in knowing that we will be reunited some day in heaven.
Thank you for your prayers and support throughout the year. We have been blessed to be your missionaries.
Becky, Jerry and Emma stay busy in Saskatoon. Becky teaches Rhetoric at the University of Saskatchewan. Jerry works at the hospital in ICU. Miss Emma attends a Montessori preschool and will be 5 January 18th.
Suzy, Tim, Charlie and Oscar at the New York Rockafeller Center Christmas Tree. Suzy works as a children's librarian. Tim continues to work with World Vision.
Andy has been working on his Associate Degree in Business while working full time. He will finish his course work this month and is looking at continuing his education. Rachel enjoys her work in musical theater and loves working with children.
